It was my daughter Sophie’s 4th birthday on the weekend. Cooking for celebrations is one of my favourite kind of cooking to do. I always break the cardinal rule of ‘only serve things for company that you have cooked before’ and try new recipes. This year I made grown up hotdogs, one a salmon hotdog that I had developed for Men’s Health Magazine and another, a chicken lime leaf dog that was all new. It was delicious, proven by the hush that came over the cacophony that happens when too many people are packed into a house.
